Prayer School consists of three ninety-minute sessions (with Q/A) that presents and explains the use of a morning liturgy of prayer. The primary purpose of prayer is not to get God to do what we think God ought to do, but to be properly formed. Toward that end we must not limit our praying to our own improvisational prayers, but also incorporate the wise and well-crafted prayers that have been passed on to us. Along with exploring the value and practice of liturgical prayer, one session is dedicated to contemplative prayer, or what Brian Zahnd calls "sitting with Jesus."

1. contemplative right-brain prayer paths, drawing on visual, auditory, and imaginative forms of prayer. 

2. active right-brain prayer paths, attending to the body and movement as a means of opening to God in prayer.
